The city is located in the dry plains of the country, and has been known as the "The City of the Enemy Crusher", as well as "The Land of Copper". The pagoda was built in the 12th century by King Kyanzittha. It has four different gold leafed Buddhas in the interior each facing a different direction. Shown is Gotama, facing west. The
