This is a portrait of Maximilien de Hnin Litard, Count of Boussu and Governor of the Habsburg Netherlands. He was the son of Count Jean de Hnin Litard, descendant of an aristocratic family from Hainaut and Anne of Bourgondi Beveren. The portrait is surrounded by a wonderful decorative motif mimicking a frame set against an etched background. The design
