Mes met 8-kantig zilveren heft, W. Ernens, Hoorn, 18e eeuws. Titel:Default Title (master's mark LvG in contour)Octagonal silver knife handle, dating from the late 18th century. On either side is a female figure made by silversmith Willem Ernens from Hoorn. Born 1749, died 1827. One female figure carries an anchor, representing the security of hope and steadfast faith. Furthermore, the handle is decorated with floral motifs. The handle is hallmarked with the master mark WE and a worn city mark of Hoorn. The blade was replaced later and is therefore in excellent
